  • Postings in Metropolitan and Regional Western Australia
  • Competitive salary with annual incremental pay increases as service and experience continues.

The Company

The Western Australia Police Force protects and serves one of the world’s largest jurisdictions. Guided by values of duty, integrity, teamwork and care, we enforce the law, prevent crime and coordinate emergency responses across metropolitan and regional communities. With over 9,000 dedicated employees, we serve communities from the heart of Perth to some of the most remote corners of the state.

The Opportunity

The Western Australia Police Force is looking for people like you.

Covering the world’s largest police jurisdiction, our Police Officers provide trusted, valued policing, helping, protecting and supporting the people of Western Australia every day. We’re looking for hardworking, resilient people from all walks of life who are passionate about their community.

Police Officers are first responders, arriving in times of need and often supporting people through their most difficult moments. Based at metropolitan and regional stations across the state, they serve diverse communities, maintain public safety, and lead vital investigations.

You’ll begin at the Western Australia Police Academy as a recruit, undertaking 28 weeks of paid training to build the skills and confidence needed to be operationally ready. Upon graduation, you’ll be appointed as a Probationary Constable, continuing to grow with guidance from the Probationer & Cadet Development Unit. Once probation is successfully completed, you’ll be appointed to the rank of Constable – and from there, the door opens to specialist roles across the Force.
