Workforce Connect is offering eligible veterans the opportunity to complete Issue Work Permits training free of charge.
This nationally recognised training is designed for people who are responsible for reviewing, approving and issuing work permits in the workplace. It develops practical skills in permit-to-work processes and hazard identification to help ensure work is undertaken safely and in accordance with workplace requirements.
Units of Competency
- MSMPER300 – Issue Work Permits
- MSMWHS201 – Conduct Hazard Analysis

- Review and assess work permit requirements
- Identify workplace hazards and assess risks
- Prepare and issue work permits
- Confirm appropriate safety controls are in place
- Monitor work being undertaken under a permit
