The Opportunity

Reporting to senior operations or fleet management leadership, you will sit at the centre of fleet utilisation, asset optimisation, and logistics coordination across the business. Working closely with operations, workshops, and finance teams, you will ensure fleet assets are available, compliant, and fit for service while driving continuous improvement and supporting strategic fleet initiatives. This role offers genuine scope to influence fleet performance, reduce operating costs, and contribute to building a future-ready fleet capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse fleet utilisation across regions and depots to identify underutilised or surplus assets and drive optimisation
  • Coordinate the redeployment and relocation of fleet assets between sites to maximise utilisation and minimise idle time
  • Partner with operations and workshops to ensure asset availability aligns with planned and unplanned operational requirements
  • Review and validate hire fleet requests, monitor spend, and identify opportunities to reduce external hire dependency
  • Maintain accurate fleet data across management systems, asset registers, and compliance records
  • Produce regular performance reports on utilisation, hire spend, and asset allocation, providing actionable insights to leadership

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in fleet management, logistics, transport, or asset management within a large or complex operational environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to interpret fleet and operational performance data to drive decisions
  • Highly organised with excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective relationships across operational and support teams
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using fleet management, asset management, or ERP systems
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy, governance, and continuous improvement
