The Opportunity

You will be responsible for the servicing, repair, and preventative maintenance of a diverse fleet of heavy diesel-powered equipment. You will play a key role in minimising downtime, maintaining high mechanical standards, and ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently across site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance on heavy diesel vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults
  • Carry out welding and basic auto-electrical repairs (12V/ 24V)
  • Complete accurate service records and maintenance documentation in line with site procedures
  • Identify defects and escalate issues proactively to minimise unplanned downtime
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment at all times

About You

  • Australian Heavy Automotive, Diesel Mechanic, or Fitter & Machinist Certificate III (or equivalent trade qualification)
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults across a range of heavy equipment, with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence
  • Able to work autonomously and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing diesel-powered mobile or fixed plant equipment
